Marziano Abbona Barbaresco Faset 2001
 |
|
BN#186142 |
Color: Intense garnet red, with ageing it verges on orange coloured shades.
Fragance: Intense, it recalls the withered glantine and the violet.
Taste: Harmonious, dry and velvety.
Gastronomic's Combining: It combines very well with agnolotti with truffles, first courses with hare sauce, risotti, seasoned “tome” cheese, second courses particularly structured.
To be served in a particularly wide glass, filled only for one third. The serving temperature is between 20 and 22° C. It is necessary to bring the bottle at least 24 hours before in a temperature room, to let the bottle reach the temperature of 20° C, optimal for being fully appreciated. It is advisable to uncork it some minutes before pouring the wine.
Wine Advocate
The 2001 Barbaresco Faset, from an unjustly obscure vineyard located right next to Asili, leaves few doubts about its stature. Elegant and smoky aromas of tar, roses, and cinnamon are followed by a firm and shapely palate, a solid finish with ample notes of chocolate and licorice, and an important persistence. Drink: 2005-2017.
Score: 91.
