91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Merlot with rich aromas of blackberry, black plum, black cherry, currant and chocolate followed by ripe cherry, raspberry, dark chocolate, currant and peppery spice flavors. A complex, well structured wine highlighted by lush fruit, concentrated flavors and a long, smooth finish.

Food Pairing: This wine is the perfect match for grilled filet mignon, garlic marinated prime rib, braised beef short ribs, lamb chops, wild game, roast pork tenderloin, hearty pasta dishes, rich stews such as duck and sausage gumbo or dark, bittersweet chocolate desserts like flourless chocolate cake or souffle.

Wine Enthusiast Other wineries come and go. Raymond remains, offering solid Napa Valley Cab at a fair price. The ’05 Reserve calls to mind the very fine 2000, but actually costs less. It’s a dry, elegantly structured wine, rich in sweet fine tannins, and offering up complex, delicious flavors of freshly picked ripe blackberries, spicy cassis, baked cherry pie and smoky oak.
