Castellroig Vi de Terrer Xarel Lo 2006
A wine with unique characteristics of the Xarel Lo variety, fruity and oily. While in the mouth, it becomes a wine with volume leaving a slight aftertaste of the sweetness of the grape and a long aromatic persistence. Wine Advocate The 2006 Xarel-lo Vi de Terrer is 100% Xarel-lo sourced from 30- to 75-year-old vines. Medium straw-colored, it exhibits an excellent nose of slate, lemon-lime, apple, and anise. This leads to a smooth-textured wine with incipient complexity, good depth, and a persistent finish. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. Score: 90. —Jay Miller, February 2008. |
