With the new vintage Sedàra continues its evolution from mono-varietal to a wine expressing and synthesizing the territory. To Nero d'Avola (a grape that still prevails in the blend, with a bit more than 50%) are added some of the international grapes (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah) grown on the winery's estates. Additions that give the wine pleasant complexity and intensity. Refinement for 9 months in cement vats. Appealing and informal, with intense notes of red fruit on a background of spices, Sedàra is suited to casually convivial occasions and a fine match for pizza and barbecue, lasagna and tuna.

Wine Advocate
The 2008 Sedara is a plump, medium-bodied red bursting with perfumed red berries, flowers and sweet spices. It is a gorgeous wine best suited to near-term drinking. Sedara is mostly Nero d'Avola and in 2008 there is plenty of varietal character. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2012.

Sedàra offers bright cherry flavors backed by dense blackberry and plum. There's a bitter almond note on the close, but all said, this ruby wine offers a lively, all-fruit experience.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
