Allegrini Valpolicella Classico 2005
This wine is characterized by fresh, cherry-like perfumes, moderate alcohol levels and balanced acidity. It is lively and easy to drink with moderate tannins and a bright, vivacious color. It is a wine that is meant to be enjoyed while it is still young and exhibits its most fragrant and intense fruit. Recommended with antipasti and lighter pasta dishes. Valpolicella also compliments seafood and lightly grilled white meats. Wine Advocate The excellent 2005 Valpolicella Classico (60% Corvina Veronese, 35% Rondinella, and 5% Molinara, aged in tank prior to release) offers abundant amounts of sweet and sour cherries along with hints of dried herbs, white chocolate, and mocha, light tannin, and medium body.
