Bodega Noemia Río Negro Valley Malbec 2006
Gorgeous nose of berries and flavors of vanilla, spice, graphite and mocha. Great acidity and minerality that drive the finish to remarkable lengths. Excellent with any kind of red meat meals with hearty sauces. Wine Spectator Dense, but incredibly pure and driven, with graphite, mineral and red licorice notes driving the core of raspberry and boysenberry ganache. Long and superfresh on the finish. Rich but refined. This drinks like a Burgundy, but it's distinctly Malbec. Drink now through 2018. Score: 95. —James Molesworth, 2008. |
