Intense black cherry red. Very intense nose, roast aroma with hints of clove, liquorice and coffee. Slight vanilla taste. A smooth attack, with structure and blended tannins. Incredibly aromatic on the palate, expressive and fresh. In the mouth it offers three times the intensity than it does in the nose. Easy and nice finish. A very delicate and pleasant wine.
Wine Advocate The 2004 Rivola is composed of 60% Tempranillo and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 12 months in French and American oak. Dark ruby-colored, it offers up a nose of cedar, spice box, blackberry, and black currant. Vibrant and supple textured, it has solid grip and surprising length for its humble price.
