Wine SpectatorThis is very rich and jammy, with a thick palate of plum jam and toasty oak, along with coffee and cedar undertones. Full, rich and very long, with impressive concentration and wonderful length. Best after 2012. 1,300 cases made.
Wine AdvocateThe single-vineyard 2004 Barbaresco Bric Turot is made in a big, fat style, with tons of super-ripe dark fruit and plenty of toasted oak. The wine's concentration appears to have been achieved at some loss of elegance as the tannins come across as excessively hard. The Bric Turot is aged in a combination of small barrels and larger casks. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020.
