Capannelle Solare 2004
|Region||Italy, Tuscany, Chianti Classico|
Wine AdvocateThe 2004 Solare is a powerful, dense offering that bursts from the glass with an array of earthiness, tar, smoke, black cherries and grilled herbs. This rich, sensual wine reveals superb depth and a long, harmonious finish. Solare is 80% Sangiovese and 20% Malvasia Nera that spent 2 years in French oak. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2022.
Wine SpectatorA little austere, with berry, coca and mahogany aromas and flavors. Medium- to full-bodied, with firm tannins and a medium finish. Needs a little more time. Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera. Best after 2009. 1,680 cases made.
