Shafer Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay 2013The 2013 fills your glass with citrus-flower aromas and flavors of apricot, red and green apple, honeysuckle, kiwi, pineapple, Meyer Lemon zest, and vanilla - a luscious, juicy basket of summer fruit held together with just the right touch of minerality and lively acidity.
La Scolca Gavi dei Gavi Black Label 2016Pale straw in color with delicate greenish highlights. Cherry Pie Stanly Ranch Pinot Noir 20122012 was an almost perfect year for Pinot Noir, with only a few minor heat spikes and a long dry fall. The fruit came in absolutely beautiful. We carefully choose the blocks to ferment in micro-lots to isolate the individual flavors and aromas. This wine was mainly fermented in 500 liter French Oak Puncheons with hand punch downs. A portion was aged in stainless and the balance (majority) was aged in the same puncheons the wine was fermented in that very year. The wine was never racked or filtered, and rested on gross lees the entire aging period.
Bollinger Brut Special CuvéeTo the eye: A golden color, distinctive of black grape varieties. Very fine bubbles. To the nose: A beautiful aromatic complexity. Ripe fruit and spicy aromas. Hints of roasted apples, apple compote and peaches. To the palate: A subtle combination of structure, length and vivacity. Bubbles like velvet. Pear, brioche and spicy aromas, notes of fresh walnut.
Groth Cabernet Sauvignon 2013Deep dark plum red in color, this 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon shows rich aromas of cassis, ripe dark cherries, black currants, cedar, and a hint of bay leaf. The mouthfeel is youthful and exuberant with bright acidity and bold tannins, a round oak sweetness, fruit flavors of plum and blackberry, and an intriguing savory note. The massive structure results in a remarkably long rich finish. The abundance of big tannins this vintage beckon for a richly marbled bone-in rib eye, perfectly seared and dusted with salt and pepper. Should you not find that in your ice box, this Cabernet Sauvignon will be right at home with a big juicy cheeseburger too.
Bodegas El Nido El Nido 2010 1.5LCherry covered. Notes of leather, toasted bread and ripe fruits mixed with a touch of spices. Its result is intense, concentrated and complex, a little bit sophisticated and with resources to meditate on its extraordinary richness of extract and savor.
