Eremo San Quirico is the winery's top red wine, made with 100% aglianico grapes sourced from an old vineyard that carries the same name. It is a deeply concentrated wine, ruby red in color. Rich and full on the palate, smooth with aromas of red fruit, cherries and spices. This is aglianico in its purest form and it will be best enjoyed with red meat dishes, game, aged cheeses and rich, hearty meals.

Wine SpectatorBlack cherry coulis and boysenberry fruit is laced with graphite, mocha, dried mint and mineral accents in this rich and sappy, medium- to full-bodied red. Dense tannins lend structure, yet they're well-knit and refined throughout. Drink now through 2026. 2,916 cases made.

Wine AdvocateThe 2012 Irpinia Campi Taurasini Eremo San Quirico is packaged in a heavy glass bottle and the wine makes a bold presentation. The bouquet shows lots of oak spice and cinnamon, with even more baking spice and clove. You can literally taste the barrel, and the effect is a little too heavy in this vintage, in my opinion. The tannins are very soft and there is plenty of chocolate and toasted almond as well.

Wine EnthusiastTobacco, baked plum, toasted oak, vanilla and mature blackberry aromas waft out of the glass. The dense, one-dimensional palate offers raspberry jam, prune, mocha and a confectionary note alongside velvety tannins.
