Famille Brechet Lirac Plateau Des Chenes Blanc 2012
Wine AdvocateLooking at the Famille Brechet releases, the 2012 Lirac Blanc Le Plateau de Chenes is a blend of 50% Grenache Blanc, 25% Clairette and 25% Roussanne that was aged 25% in demi-muids (1 year old) and the remainder in tank. Classy and elegant, yet with ample richness, it offers quality white peach, white currant, mineral, subtle brioche and some vanilla creaminess to go with a medium-bodied, fresh profile on the palate. The acidity is nicely integrated and this outstanding white will be versatile on the dinner table. Enjoy it over the coming couple of years. Drink now-2016.
Wine SpectatorOffers a rounded, flattering feel, with brioche and creamed green apple notes mingling with flickers of anise and green plum. Open-knit finish. Drink now. 100 cases imported.
