Wine SpectatorDense and chewy, this red evokes cherry, tar, spice, earth and underbrush flavors. Stiff and drying on the finish now, yet has fine length and a balanced feel. Best from 2018 through 2033. 15,000 cases made.
Wine EnthusiastViolet, rose, juicy cherry-berry, cinnamon and clove all come together on this straightforward, vibrant wine. With its brisk acidity and enveloping, velvety tannins, this is already surprisingly accessible, but it will be even better in a few years. Drink 2018-2025.
Wine AdvocateThe 2010 Barolo is made with fruit sourced from Serralunga d'Alba, Castiglione Falletto, La Morra and Verduno. It offers a wide spectrum of tastes that span the entire Barolo appellation. Exotic spice is folded into dark fruit, leather, licorice and dried tobacco. The wine needs to flesh out further in the bottle and this Barolo will be released after summer 2014. Drink: 2016-2026.
