Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2014 The Stray Mongrel Grenache Shiraz Zinfandel has a pretty nose of kirsch, red currant jelly, cranberry sauce and spice cake with suggestions of dried rose petals and cumin seeds. Medium to full-bodied, it gives plenty of red berry preserves flavors and baking spice accents, supported by silky tannins and lively acidity, finishing with great length.
