Boundary Breaks No. 239 Riesling 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

You will find explosive flavors and bracing acidity in this Dry Riesling. This might be the best wine we have ever made. It is a Dry Riesling, but it is full of ripe, luscious flavors and yet still carries sufficient acidity to keep it fresh. In the Finger Lakes, 2014 was an exceptional year. The autumn was very warm and dry, which allowed us to keep our fruit out longer than is typical. This allowed the fruit to achieve a clean, ripe stage that is rarely seen. You must try this wine to experience something brand new from the Finger Lakes.

Wine EnthusiastHoneysuckle and orange blossoms perfume this bright, ebullient wine full of ripe grapefruit and pineapple flavors. While dry in style, it juxtaposes a lusciously rich, penetrating palate against a pulsating backbone of lemon-line acidity. It's pristine yet powerful through a long, undulating finish.

Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Dry Riesling No. 239 is the best yet seen in this label. It puts it all together and the price is very nice, too. Delicate on opening, it gathers steam and power. It shows that big acidity on the end with a touch of lemon. Fresh, crisp and transparent, this is unevolved with gorgeous tension on the finish. This will be better in a year, more fun to drink and not just admire. That said, it is pretty delicious now because the fruit is as good as the structure.

Wine SpectatorThis has a nice racy edge, with fennel, jasmine and star fruit notes lining the core of yellow apple fruit. A twinge of anise through the finish.
