Giovanni Sordo Barolo 2013
|Region||Italy, Piedmont, Barolo|
"Aromas of cherries, strawberries and flowers. Hints of lemon rind. Medium-to full-bodied, tight and chewy. Long finish.
This red combines fruity and savory elements, sporting cherry, plum, wild herb and tobacco flavors, with a hint of mineral. Open, balanced and moderately long. Best from 2019 through 2032. 4,500 cases made.
Violet, rose and woodland berry aromas fuse with a whiff a new leather on this bright red. On the luminous no-frills palate, accents of clove and orange peel add interest to unripe strawberry and sour cherry. Fresh acidity and firm tannins provide solid support.
