Acacia Lake Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Notably ripe through aromas of various dark berries, clove, sandalwood and anise remain sufficiently fresh to be appealing. The sense of freshness and vibrancy can also be found on the delicious, supple and caressing medium weight flavors where the well-balanced and youthfully austere finish adds a sense of punch. Food Pairing: Molded Cranberry Relish, Cranberry and Pear Galette, Trio of Crostini, Salad of Grassfed Beef, Spiced Maple Glazed Ham, Whiskey Glazed Corned Beef, Pulled Rotisserie Chicken Sandwiches, Grilled Pork Chops.

Wine EnthusiastThere's no doubt this estate-grown wine is at first funky on the nose, a mix of forest, mint and farmhouse cheese. It develops in the glass to embrace its quirks, complementing them with vibrant acidity, ripe texture, and hints of orange, rhubarb and spicy clove.

Wine SpectatorPresents a dusty, savory mix of dried fruit, cedary oak and loamy earth notes, veering toward dried black licorice and dried herb flavors, with the dryness of the tannins being the big concern. Drink now. 502 cases made.

Wine AdvocateAcacia has been making Pinot Noir for decades. The three offerings I tasted recently include their 2013 Pinot Noir Winery Lake. Medium ruby, with notes of sweet and sour cherries and pomegranate, this is a very Côte de Beaune-like Pinot with medium body and a tart, fresh finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
