Chateau Faugeres Saint Emilion 2006 1.5L
Wine EnthusiastA dark, meaty wine, very new world in its richness and opulence. It is concentrated, packed with black fruit.
Wine SpectatorShows dried blackberry on the nose, with hints of mineral and fresh herbs. Full-bodied, with a solid core of fruit and silky, chewy tannins. Cool, minerally and fruity, with excellent length. Very well made for the vintage. Best after 2013.
Wine AdvocateThe 2006 Faugeres reveals solidly constructed, chunky, blue and black fruit aromas and flavors intertwined with notions of new oak, licorice, and espresso roast. Medium-bodied with some unresolved tannins, it is well-constructed and nicely concentrated with attractive purity as well as depth. Consume it over the next 8-10 years.
