Chardonnay is the very soul of Ruinart. The grape, mainly harvested from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims terroirs, is at the heart of all our cuvées. At first very intense on the nose, with fresh fruit notes, particularly ripe citrus fruits. A second refined floral nose with notes of white flowers and fruits (white peaches, pineapple). A supple, harmonious attack on the palate, very rounded. Vinosity that is not excessive, supported by excellent freshness. Beautiful pale golden yellow color with gentle green reflections, a vibrant, luminous color. Active effervescence with a persistent release of bubbles.

Wine SpectatorA graceful Champagne, sleek and finely knit, with a subtle range of nectarine, lemon curd, almond blossom and ground ginger flavors, expanding on the silky mousse. Offers a lingering, mineral-laced finish. Drink now through 2024. - AN

Wine EnthusiastCrisp with a delicious line of acidity and ripe with apple and lemon flavors, this wine balances freshness with hints of maturity from aging in Ruinart's subterranean cellars. It's both taut with the tension of cool-climate Chardonnay and showing signs of toastiness.

Wine AdvocateThis is a fabulous version of Ruinart's NV Brut Blanc de Blancs. The wine seems fresher, more vibrant and less obviously sweet than in the past, all of which makes this a far more interesting wine. The trademark profile of lemon, jasmine and green apples is very much in the forefront while the wine's textural finesse and length are both first-class. This release of the NV Brut makes a great introduction to the wines of Ruinart, Champagne's oldest house. This is Lot LAGJSAF. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014.
