Robe: Sombre with violet highlights.
Nose: Very persistant red fruit notes.
Palate: First taste fresh and fruity the red fruit aromas leave place for licorice notes and stewed prunes. The end shows these 3 varieties caliber, tannins present and fondant. A wine that is a pleasure to drink on all occasions.
Serving suggestions: The aperitif, grilled meats and cheese eg; served at 16° with cold deli meats, between 18 - 20° with grilled meats, rib steak, beef under-cut, kebabs and Toulousan sausage, but also more refined dishes like duck with mushroom, rabbit with turnip, pigeon with raisins, or fricassé of chicken. Lovers of red wine will be happy as it also goes with fish and white meat as well as all sorts of cheese !
The 2013 IGP Pays d'Hérault Trilogie is an interesting blend of close to equal parts Syrah, Alicante-Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon. It has lots of spice, black raspberry, scrub brush and floral notes to go with a medium-bodied, pure, elegant profile that has no hard edges and a clean finish. It's a rock solid effort to enjoy over the coming 4-5 years.
