Clark-Claudon Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Presenting a deep ruby color with hints of mashed strawberries on the rim the, 2008 continues to impress with its beautiful black cherry and current nose balanced with touches of cedar box, tobacco leaf and subtle jasmine. In the mouth the wine enters softly as it meets fresh acidity, ripe well integrated tannins and layers of blackberries, blueberries, a touch of raspberries and lingering fresh plums. These layers are joined by dark chocolate and sweet oak for a long indulgent finish.

Wine AdvocateThe 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is an attractive wine laced with sweet grilled herbs, dark cherries, plums, espresso and tobacco. It shows plenty of nuance and delineation. The mid-weight structure suggests it is best enjoyed over the next handful of years. The 2008 spent two years in French oak, 65% new. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018. Vintage 2008 was not an easy one for Clark-Caudon. The estate lost 50% of their crop during the spring frost. The resulting wine, though, is fabulous.
