Chalone Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir 2011
Save $13.00 (28%)
This small bottling of 2011 Heritage Pinot Noir comes exclusively from old vines that were planted on the Chalone Vineyard estate in 1973. "These vines are grafted to the Macwood heritage clone, which produces a more Old World style of Pinot Noir," says Winemaker Robert Cook. "The wine is extremely complex, showing highly extracted red-fruit character wrapped around earthiness, minerality and a hint of white pepper." Food Pairing: Salmon grilled on a cedar plank, wild mushroom ravioli, lamb brochettes on rosemary skewers and duck breast with truffle sauce complement this Pinot Noir.
