Lemelson Jermome Reserve Pinot Noir 2015
|Region||United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley|
Refined and well-built, with sleekly layered raspberry, river stone and spice flavors that persist toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2024. 495 cases made.
Pale to medium ruby in color, the 2015 Pinot Noir Jerome Reserve opens with a fair amount of baking spice-nutmeg, clove, cinnamon-over a core of crushed red cherries and baked cranberries with earthy nuances. Light to medium-bodied, it has good concentration of earth-laced red fruits but they're obscured by all that baking spice. It has soft, grainy tannins and just enough acidity to carry the finish. I don't think this has the substance to soak up all that new oak character. 981 six-pack cases produced.
