New to the 2015 Jerome is the inclusion of both Chestnut Hill and Johnson Vineyards to the mix, which adds even more depth to this reserve wine. It is a compilation of high elevation Dijon clones from Dundee Hills and Chehalem Mountains, which contribute red fruit and elegance and lower elevation Wadenswil and Pommard clones from Yamhill-Carlton, which contribute richness, spice, and earth. The wine exudes red cherry and raspberry fruit along with milk chocolate, vanilla, tealeaf, cinnamon, and anise undertones. It shows an amazing structure that leads into a long and juicy finish. This is definitely a bottle that will age well into the next decade.

Refined and well-built, with sleekly layered raspberry, river stone and spice flavors that persist toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2024. 495 cases made.

Pale to medium ruby in color, the 2015 Pinot Noir Jerome Reserve opens with a fair amount of baking spice-nutmeg, clove, cinnamon-over a core of crushed red cherries and baked cranberries with earthy nuances. Light to medium-bodied, it has good concentration of earth-laced red fruits but they're obscured by all that baking spice. It has soft, grainy tannins and just enough acidity to carry the finish. I don't think this has the substance to soak up all that new oak character. 981 six-pack cases produced.
