Wine from Gascony is classic Vin Blanc. Dry, crisp, and well priced, this is a non-fussy blend of Colombard (about 75%), Sauvignon, Gros Manseng, Chard, and Ugni Blanc. Guillaman is the kind of French white that gives you a break from worrying about regions and rules and just lets you enjoy minerals and lots of fruit character. The Ferret family has been making wine for six generations on a property dating back to 1626, but the facilities on the estate are fully modernized, allowing for minimal handling and very limited use of sulfites.
Flavor Profile: "Pale yellow with hints of green. Plenty of grapefruit, passionfruit, and peach on the nose. The palate is fresh crisp with a good follow through from the bouquet. Serve as an aperitif or with cold meats, fish, and shellfish." -Producer

White stones (pierres blanches) is the name of the chalky soil of the vineyard. This fruity, fresh and light wine has a touch of minerality and lively acidity that ends with a soft aftertaste. Drink now. ROGER VOSS
