The 2018 Versante Nord presents waxy red berries, smoke and pretty florals. It's fresh yet understated, with silky textures giving way to a pure display of ripe fruits laced with hints of lavender. Round tannins come forward toward the close, adding youthful grip as this lingers on notes of tart raspberry and minerals. While the Versante Nord is technically a field blend, it's made up primarily of Nerello Mascalese.
