The 2017 Riesling Semi-Dry comes in with 21 grams of residual sugar, 6.4 of total acidity and 12% alcohol. This was sourced from four vineyards, mostly with vines under ten years in age except for Black Diamond (which provided almost 40% of the fruit and has 45-year-old vines). Soft and not showing quite the energy of its siblings, this still has good structure and shows great; the sugar is drying out, so to speak, as it airs and warms. It begins to seem more interesting in time, and the finish is very nice. The drier styles this issue mostly performed a little better, but this shows well.

Soft and easy, with moderate pear and apple fruit, backed by a hint of shortbread. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 4,000 cases made.
