Torcolato offers rich, spicy aromas of baked pears with hints of apricots, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and hazelnuts. It is a succulent, luscious dessert wine, with a mellow sweetness perfectly balanced by a spicy acidity. In Italy, Torcolato is considered a "meditation wine," best served on its own. However, it is also excellent with crumble cakes and fruit tarts and especially with gorgonzola or other creamy cheeses.
