Montevetrano Colli di Salerno Rosso 2002

Very deep ruby red in color. The nose is intense with a bouquet of red berries, tobacco and leather. On the palate the wine is dry and full bodied with firm tannins. Very distinctive in character with a rich structure and elegant flavors. The finish is impressive for its length and intensity. Recommended with roasted venison and aged cheeses. A favorite with the local cheese called Caciocavallo which is marinated in hot spices. With age, this wine exhibits even more structure, body, elegance and sweetness.
