More or less bright straw yellow depending on the vintage. The most fanciful scents of ripe fruit and an excellent mineral quality emerge, together with optimal freshness. Warm and expansive, it envelops the palate with gentleness and character, ending with a lingering aftertaste; undoubtedly blessed with the structure provided by the Langa soils.
It is very good with saltwater and some freshwater fish dishes, such as trout. The combination with white and red meats is exceptional when they are cooked slowly with delicate spices.

The Massolino 2019 Langhe Chardonnay is plush and almost creamy but not quite. The wine's pretty volume and depth are thanks to the many layers of peach, citrus and exotic fruits found at its core. Those fruit tones are softened and amplified by natural rubber and an almost glossy touch of beeswax that I find very attractive. The mouthfeel is further fleshed out by very well-managed oak tones and light spice. A shellfish risotto would work wonders.
