The La Spinetta 2020 Barbera d'Asti Superiore Bionzo sees fruit from vineyards in Costigliole d'Asti. This wine has a stemmy, almost vegetal quality with lots of rosemary and thyme, green curry and black pepper folded within dark, full-bodied fruit. It shows an inky color with medium-plus concentration. Production is 9,000 bottles.

The 2020 Barbera d'Asti Superiore Bionzo is a potent, brooding wine. Gravel, incense, tobacco, mocha and savory herbs are nicely delineated. A move towards more laid back fruit causes the more savory elements to be more pronounced in this vintage.
