Our Hess Select Cabernet features grapes from some of the best vineyards in Napa and Lake county. The wine showcases a ruby color with aromas red raspberry and dark cherry. Flavors of red raspberry, black cherry follow with spicy notes of currants, anise, cloves, cedar and a touch of vanilla. This soft, round, medium-bodied wine tastes like Cabernet should. Dishes incorporating sweet peppers, caramelized onions or roasted Portobello mushrooms, a hearty bacon burger with blue cheese, barbecued shrimp, and mild blue cheeses or cheddar cheese. All these dishes pair well with the Hess Select Cabernet.

J. Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon 2017The 2017 J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon is dark and dense in color to the rim of the glass. Layered aromas of black cherry, currant and blueberry are accented by an authentic barrel-aged bouquet of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, and roasted coffee. The palate peaks with high-toned red berry fruit, and follows with bright acidity and a full structure that is both dense and soft at once. Delicious paired with wild mushroom risotto or an herb-encrusted rack of lamb with creamy polenta.
B-Side Cabernet Sauvignon 2016The B Side Cabernet Sauvignon is a deeply concentrated, inky color in the glass. Vibrant aromas of blackberry compote, mocha, vanilla, sweet leather and lavender are pronounced on the nose. The fleshy, fruit-forward palate is packed with flavor including juicy fruit, cassis, melted chocolate and hints of Blackstrap molasses. The deep, dark fruit note is a solid line throughout and comes from the beginning all the way to the end of the wine. The tasty French oak frames the wine with ripe, round tannins underpinning the overall structure. The wine is aged for 14 months with 40% of the blend in new French oak barrels (Francois Frere & Radoux) while the remaining balance is in seasoned French oak. This wine is deep and brooding with layers of aromas and flavors, well-structured with smooth tannins and a noticeably, lengthy finish.
Estancia Cabernet SauvignonDeep crimson in appearance. Black cherry and brown spice aromas with notes of coffee. Toasty, lingering tannins mid-palate, complemented by black cherry, brown spice, and dark chocolate flavors with a lingering cocoa finish. Pairs well with aged gouda or parmesan, salads, potatoes, steak, red sauce pasta.

Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon 2017Deep, dark brick red to blood plum color. On the nose, a seamless blend of crème de cassis, hazelnut, cocoa, blackberry preserves, a charry meat toastiness, dark fruits and blackberry pie along with suggestions of dark licorice, stewed rhubarb, strawberry, spice and vanillin. On the palate, rich and satisfying with chocolate brownie, yogurt, molasses, brown sugar and rhubarb notes presented in perfect balance with higher-toned fruit emphasis. The wine's weight is first felt on the front of the palate but then coats the entire mouth with placating tannin and a light, pleasing grittiness. This weight, ideally counterpoised alongside the acid, leaves the mouth watering. Great persistence on the finish.
Ferrari-Carano Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Vibrant aromas of black cherry, plum, cardamom, cedar, sage and sandalwood spice awaken the senses, while full-bodied flavors of licorice, leather, cocoa, vanilla and toasty caramel fill the palate. Notes of toasty leather round out the finish. Our Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with roasted, broiled or barbecued game and red meats such as lamb and beef, as well as pork and veal. Medium and strong‐flavored cheeses, such as blue cheese or sharp Cheddar, also pair nicely with this wine.
Caymus-Suisun Grand Durif 2016Petite Sirah wines are typically deep, dark, rich, and inky, with concentrated flavors of blueberry, plum, backberry, black pepper, sweet baking spice, leather, and cigar box, and chewy, chocolatey tannins. Notes of vanilla and coconut can be found in examples with significant amounts of new oak. Petite Sirah's full body and bold fruit make it an ideal match for barbecue, especially brisket with a slightly sweet sauce, and other rich meat dishes. The variety's heavy tannins call for fatty protein and strong flavors that won't get drowned out by the wine.
