'The smoking gun' of the Syrah wines full of peppery, spicy blackberry fruit - very aromatic with smokey bacon overtones reminiscent of Cote-Rotie Syrah wines from the northern Rhone Valley of France.

Wine AdvocateThe beautiful 2002 Syrah Liandra Vineyard exhibits aromas of pepper, black fruits, acacia flowers, and subtle new oak. Full-bodied with an expansive mid-palate in addition to a gorgeously long finish, it is an elegant yet well-endowed Syrah to drink over the next 10-15 years. Roman Bratasiuk is one of Planet Earth's greatest winemakers, and obviously a top-notch viticulturist given his obsession with sourcing extraordinary fruit from ancient McLaren Vale vineyards.

Wine SpectatorDark and juicy, not a blockbuster but nicely framed to show off its cherry, mint and subtle tar flavors. Goes for elegance. Drink now through 2008.
