On the nose the 2013 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is earthy and elegant. It shows expressive tannins and dark red fruit, bearing all the hallmarks of a great New World Burgundy. The palate is soft with swarming notes of bramble fruits, cherry pie, and cranberries. While it is vibrant and delicious in its youth the focused tannins suggest aging with grace. French oak has contributed a velvety softness without masking the lovely red and black fruit characteristics.

Wine SpectatorBright and vibrant, pointing the plum, currant, floral and white pepper flavors into a crisp finish that expands and persists with refinement and presence. Comes together harmoniously and lyrically. Drink now through 2023. 15,400 cases made.

Wine EnthusiastPart of the Foley Family portfolio, this wine reflects some of the challenges of the vintage. Somewhat bitter tannins overtake the fruit, putting the herbal characteristics front and center. Brambly berry and cranberry fruit carries some tartness through the finish.
