Ghost Pines Zinfandel 2014
Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Zinfandel, two-thirds from Lodi in San Joaquin County and the rest Sonoma and Lake County fruit, is a blend of 92% Zinfandel and the rest Petite Sirah, Syrah and other varieties, finished at 14.3% alcohol. Aged in used oak, the wine shows spicy, briary, peppery and loamy soil undertones, lush fruit, medium body, light tannin, decent acidity and a flavorful, well-endowed mouthfeel. Drink it over the next several years.
Wine SpectatorEucalyptus and cherry aromas lead to soft and fairly simple flavors of plum and pepper. Drink now through 2021. 15,900 cases made.
