Rocca di Frassinello Le Sughere di Frassinello 2013

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Color: Deep ruby red. Bouquet: Le Sughere di Frassinello bursts from the glass with an exciting melange of sweet red cherries, herbs, licorice and tobacco. Flavor: It shows lovely mid-palate depth in a medium-bodied, sleek style supported by firm yet well-integrated tannins. Pairings: Ideal with all roasts, grills, barbecues, and with sautéed fillets of beef. Great with cheeses as well.

VinousSweet red cherry, plum, mocha, licorice, lavender and dark spices meld together in the 2013 Le Sughere di Frassinello. Pliant, silky and expressive, the 2013 will drink well for at least a handful of years. The French oak is a bit noticeable at this point, but that is a pretty small critique at this level. - Antonio Galloni

Wine EnthusiastViolet, dark berry and a whiff of spice lead the nose on this blend of 50% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. The sleek, straightforward palate doles out black cherry, raw raspberry and aniseeed accompanied by fine-grained tannins. Drink 2016-2020.
