Tiezzi Brunello di Montalcino 2005
|Appellation||Brunello di Montalcino|
Wine EnthusiastToasty notes of almond and walnut are followed by black fruit, cherry and cassis. The wine is bright, sharp and cleansing in the mouth with tonic acidity and a compact feel overall.
Wine AdvocateTiezzi's 2005 Brunello di Montalcino is an attractive, mid weight effort. Finessed, silky tannins frame an expressive core of red fruit. Though a touch compact, the wine is beautifully balanced and nicely done. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2017.
Wine SpectatorAromas of balsamic and dark cherry lead to a full body, with chewy tannins that turn slightly bitter. Needs more fruit midpalate. Best after 2011. 505 cases made.
