Elio Altare Barolo Cerretta Vigna Bricco 2005
|Region||Italy, Piedmont, Barbera d'Alba|
Wine AdvocateThe 2005 Barolo Cerretta is a new Barolo from a rented parcel in Serralunga that was vinified, aged and bottled separately for the first time in 2005. Altare is so profoundly associated with La Morra that it is fascinating to taste his first foray into Serralunga. The 2005 Barolo Cerretta positively covers every inch of the palate in a round, opulent expression of fruit. Still rather fresh and primary, the wine will require some time to come around. Menthol, licorice, minerals and tar inform the long, harmonious finish. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2031.
