Domaine de Bonserine Côte Rôtie La Sarrasine 2011
This sports a lovely beam of red currant, blood orange and damson plum fruit, framed by bright iron, white pepper and black olive notes. Vivid and pure, with cut and persistence through the finish. Best from 2015 through 2027. 2,500 cases made.
The 2011 Cote Rotie La Sarrasine is the least impressive of these Cote Roties. Medium-bodied and fresh, it reveals some herbaceousness and leanness as well as a narrow palate. It appears to be a competent effort, but a lot more is expected at this price.
