Sans Liege Cotes Du Coast 2017
|Region||United States, Central Coast, Paso Robles|
Daylight wanes and a new energy pulses through the redwoods. As the lanterns are lit you take in scents of honeysuckle, lemongrass tea and shale. You are now dancing and laughing with mirth as you pass by a rustic dessert table. It is set with creme brulee and miniature vanilla spice cakes adorned with orange blossoms. Children run past snacking on jazz apples and dried pineapple and you smile with gratitude for the day.
Made up of 33% Viognier, 30% Roussanne, 27% Grenache Blanc and 10% Marsanne, the 2017 Côtes du Coast is vivaciously scented of musk, lychee, honeysuckle, warm peach cobbler and pie crust with nuances of pineapple, lime peel, stone and a yeasty note. Medium to full-bodied, it has a slightly oily texture and tons of perfumed fruits, with juicy acidity to counter and a long, textured finish.
Complex and expressive, offering mango, peach and melon flavors, with a touch of spice and cedar lingering in the background. Smooth and juicy. Viognier, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc and Marsanne. Drink now. 525 cases made. — MW
