The Loop Sauvignon Blanc 2021
|Region||New Zealand, Marlborough|
Rich, textured and lifted on the nose with light biscuit character that layers over rich lemons and limes. A lot of secondary characteristics here but the fruit core is amazingly dense and intense. And there's that familiar Blind River. A soft attack that is, all at once, light and bright while being dense and heavily textured. This is a serious wine with a powerful mid-palate showing pithy citrus and warm lemon curd flavours, all underneath a textured blanket that is both soft and very slightly grainy. The finish is long, big and textured but still with a fine mouth-watering acidity that drags it on and on….. and on. Matches spicy food-Thai, Japanese, Indian, but works equally well with seafood, particularly oysters, as well as fat cheeses.
Fresh jalapeño, lemongrass and lemon-lime sherbet flavors are fresh and vibrant on a juicy frame in this white. Drink now. 10,000 cases made, 9,000 cases imported.
