Paul Hobbs CrossBarn Pinot Noir 2020
|Region||California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast|
The 2020 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is flush with pristine fruit on the nose, including cherry candy, crushed flowers, and forest floor. The palate is fresh with red raspberry and cinnamon, and it has refreshing acidity on the finish. This is a lovely, classic wine for drinking over the next couple of years.
The 2020 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is terrific and also one of the highlights of this very challenging year. A burst of red/purplish berry fruit, spice, lavender and rose petal is immediately alluring. There is a bit of grippiness here, but nothing a bit of aeration won't take care of.
Ebullient cherry and boysenberry pâte de fruit notes lead the way, followed by light anise and floral hints. Easygoing, open-knit finish. Drink now. 19,668 cases made.
